As a freelancer, you’re charged a fee based on your lifetime billings with each client. This includes all contracts you’ve ever had with that client. Service fees are the same whether the contracts are hourly, fixed-price, or monthly. this does no:
- €0-€2500: 25%
- €2500 or more: 20%
Example: On a €3000 project with a new client, a freelancer’s service fee would be 25% on the first €2500 and 20% on the remaining €500. Their earnings after fees would be €2275.
Note: This does not include “Private projects” and the freelancer’s fee in “private projects” is 5%.
Rounding Estimated Earnings: Sometimes the resulting fee is a number with more than two decimal points that must be rounded to the nearest cent with each transaction.
